When your little one wants to be held, the Snugs Sideways Carrier gives them a seat on your hip while taking some of their weight off your arms. Its single padded shoulder strap keeps them close, with a little more freedom to look around and take in the world.
1Padded shoulder sleeve
A padded sleeve sits between the strap and your shoulder, cushioning the area where the carrier rests against your body.
2Deep seat
The deep pouch forms a seat for your baby on your hip, supporting their bottom while keeping them close to you.
3Supports the M-position
The seat supports your baby beneath the thighs, allowing the legs to rest apart with the knees higher than the bottom. This is the M-position recommended by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.
4One strap. Different fits.
The adjustable strap accommodates wearers from a small frame to Double XL, allowing different-sized parents to share the same carrier.
5Front buckle. Rear adjustment.
A front side-release buckle fastens the carrier, while a flat slider at the back adjusts the strap. The heavy-duty POM buckle can withstand up to 85 kg.

Soft, breathable and easy to care for.
Made with 370+ GSM suede-like microfiber, the fabric feels soft and velvety against your baby’s skin. Its breathable structure allows air to pass through.
The fabric is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified and tested for harmful substances and when the carrier needs cleaning, it’s easy to care for and machine-washable as directed.
Belt
The carrier’s belt is made from polypropylene, a lightweight material that absorbs little moisture, dries quickly and stands up to everyday rubbing.

Guided by Dr. Anjali Ramesh, Snugs’ co-founder, an MBBS doctor and babywearing expert, the in-house R&D team works to refine each carrier with health and science considerations in mind.
Before dispatch, every carrier is pull-tested as part of Snugs’ testing process.

Does my baby need to sit independently before using the carrier?
The Sideways Carrier is designed for babies from 8 months. Before using it, check that your baby meets Snugs’ requirements for sitting and positioning. If you’re unsure whether your little one is ready, contact us before using the carrier.
How do I know my baby is positioned correctly?
Your baby should sit securely in the pouch, with their thighs supported, knees slightly higher than their bottom, and face visible. Keep their nose and mouth clear, and check their position throughout use. Our wearing tutorial shows you how to put the carrier on and adjust the fit.
Is this carrier suitable for longer outings?
The Sideways Carrier is made for shorter outings, quick errands and those moments when your little one wants to be picked up and put down often because it rests on one shoulder, it helps to switch sides from time to time. For longer stretches of carrying, a carrier that distributes weight across both shoulders may suit you better.
Can I return the carrier if it doesn’t work for us?
Snugs offers a 7-day return policy. If the carrier doesn’t suit you, contact our support team within the return window for help with the return process.
Can I carry my baby on either hip?
Yes, you can.
Is the carrier suitable for a baby with hip dysplasia or another hip condition?
If your baby has hip dysplasia or another diagnosed hip condition, speak to their paediatrician or orthopaedic specialist before using the carrier. The M-shaped seating position alone doesn’t establish that a carrier is suitable for every child with a hip condition. Your child’s specialist can advise you based on their individual needs.
